Welcome to Baking & Tantrums…

Inspired by a simple conversation at the stage door of my favourite play.

The title of the blog says it all really, about the sort of topics I will be writing about – my everyday life!

My “A Parent’s Worst Nightmare” series, from my previous blog, will be transferred to this site before it is added to with an update on my son.

For those who don’t know me… I am a Mum to four children – Rachael, Matthew, Charlie and Owen – and married to Jonathan. I am a stay at home mum, as well as a carer for Matthew, diagnosed with Autism, and for Charlie, diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, ODD, wheelchair-bound and living with cancer.

I have spent the past two years fundraising for charity and have raised nearly £5000. I am still continuing to raise money of a variety of charities, many of which have been a big support to us, through selling items on eBay.

My interests include Harry Potter, the theatre, photography and, if you haven’t already guessed, baking. I am not going pretend I am a brilliant baker (definitely not of the standard you would see on the Great British Bake Off), but most of what I bake or cook comes out tasting quite good.

So, this blog will cover my life as a mum, my attempts at baking new things (and some of my favourites) and perhaps a fair few things in between.
